Provost Vet Group - Sponsored Walk 2008

The Vine Trust is a Scottish Charity, who work with Scripture Union, Peru on two projects within Peru. The better known project is the Amazon Hope Ferry, which provides health care to the rural population in the Amazonia region of Peru. They also build and run homes for abandoned children in several cities across Peru.

Will Goad, one of the vets will be travel- ling to Peru as part of a work team from Cupar Old Parish Church to help with the construction of one of these home. Follow this link for more information about the Cupar Old Project.

Our second sponsored walk on 18th May 2008 was in aid of both The Dogs Trust and The Vine Trust. We are pleased to announce that we raised just over £1500 this year for the two charities and intend to make this an annual event. Details for the 2009 walk will be annonced in autumn 08.

About 35 intrepid staff members and clients, accompanied by about 40 dogs enjoyed a cool, but breezy walk through Tentsmuir forest, before being rejuvanated by a cup of tea and biscuits back at the car park.

Our thanks go out to all the walkers and the staff members who both took part and helped with the organisation of the event beforehand and on the day.
